This generous policy shows we stand behind our products for their entire lifespan. More importantly, it means decades of worry-free use of your windows, doors or siding. 

Is There a Difference Between Limited Lifetime and Lifetime Warranties?

Yes, lifetime and limited lifetime warranties offer different coverage levels. Limited lifetime warranties may have limitations around what parts of a product are covered or the circumstances in which repair or replacement are guaranteed under the warranty. Lifetime warranties have fewer limitations, offering a broader range of coverage for product repair or replacement. Window World products use limited lifetime warranties since they provide plenty of coverage for likely events. 

How Long Does a Lifetime Warranty Last? 

Lifetime warranties last as long as the lifespan of the product in question. Limited lifetime warranties last the same amount of time, but have more specific coverage options. At Window World, our limited lifetime warranty guarantees our products are installed without defects and will be covered for the entirety of their expected lifespan, which is around 20 to 25 years. 

Is the Warranty Transferable?

Yes, Window World’s limited lifetime warranty is transferable. What does this mean? If you’ve moved into a home with Window World products, as long as they’re within their expected lifespan, that warranty then transfers to you. That warranty is not limited to one owner. 

What Is Covered in Window World’s Warranty?

Our warranty covers you starting on installation day and remains in place through the following 20-25 years. If your product does not meet the covered areas below, we’ll happily replace it. Here are a few of the areas covered under our warranty:

  • Vinyl: With normal use, our vinyl will not blister, peel or rot. 
  • Hardware: Mechanical elements like locks and balances will be free of manufactured defects.
  • Glass Breakage: Broken panes will be replaced once you submit a claim.
  • Installation: Any labor necessary to replace the above elements will be free of charge.

What Is Not Covered in Window World’s Warranty?

While we cover plenty of issues, there are some areas our warranty does not cover. Generally speaking, if something goes wrong due to a manufacturing defect or an internal problem, it is likely covered. If damage is caused by an external problem, like flooding, it is likely not covered. See more details on what is not covered below:

  • Foundation Issues: Issues with doors or windows from foundation problems like your house settling aren’t covered.
  • Fires and Floods: Damage from events like fires, floods and storms is not covered.
  • Natural Disasters: Damage from extreme heat or cold is not covered.
  • Modifications: If you modify your Window World product in a way that damages it, a replacement will not be covered.
